Genuine

In almost all of the conversations I’ve had with people since the launch of the Vanguard Podcast there has been a theme of being Genuine and true to yourself.
What does this mean?
Well, I can’t tell you what your genuine is, but I will happily share with you my thoughts on what mine is to go think about.
My genuine revolves around a constant desire to learn. I am no expert in any subject, I have a strong desire to constantly ask ‘why’ and ‘how’.
How do I shoot a thousand yards?
How do I call in a Bull Elk?
Why did you get into hunting?
Why does my mind work this way?
Why did I miss that shot at the 3D range?
How do I field dress an animal?
All sorts of these types of questions loll around in my head and I have a tendency to dive into answering them as best as I can using as many resources as possible. Queue the podcast! I am learning about so many things from a ton of other experts in their respective fields!
My genuine is a constant need to learn and ask dumb, deep and random questions.

You might be one of the most genuine people I know Austin! I think being "genuine" means being excited about things you don't know and actively seeking ways to learn more about them. I think sometimes people are hesitant to admit they don't have all the answers or knowledge on a particular subject instead of seeing an opportunity to learn something new. I see you as someone who sees learning as an adventure - - new lands waiting to be discovered! I think when we stop learning, that's when we stop growing.
